Quality Software Products (Holdings) Plc, the UK-based supplier of high-end, modular financial software has reported a first half that saw net income for the six months to June 30 up from 180,000 to 1.2m pounds, on revenues up 35% at 18.1m pounds. QPS has financial modules that it says can be dropped into ERP packages and chairman Alan Benjamin says that the company is continuing to win new business against established ERP players. Its major competitor, Walker Interactive Systems Inc of San Francisco, California is though, a formidable obstacle to building a substantial presence in the US. Shares at 400 pence still have a long way to go to return to their 1995 high of 708 pence.
