After net income for the year rose 130% to $827.4 million on revenue up 30.6% at $3.97 billion, CDMA specialist Qualcomm said it expects earnings per share to increase 16% to 22% this year to a range of $1.17 to $1.23 on revenue up between 3% and 7%.
The company believes it is well positioned to win a significant share of the WCDMA chip business and further expand the Brew footprint.
It estimates that 106 to 108 million CDMA phones will be sold this year and expects this to increase to between 131 and 136 million in 2004.
