Qualcomm Inc. has announced its results for the second fiscal quarter of 2001. It has reported pro forma revenues of $713 million, an increase from the previous quarters $684 million and last year's second quarter result of $649 million. Although the current market is unstable, Qualcomm believes it can continue to ride out the turbulence and prosper in the future.
Despite meeting expectations for the second quarter Qualcomm has expressed doubts over its prospects for the next quarter and the year as a whole, because of the uncertain state of the global economy.
Qualcomm is positive about its long-term future, however, as it looks forward to exploring new markets in India and China next year.
