QSound Labs Inc, developer of 3D audio technology, has announced the first product resulting from a partnership with Seponix Corp and Seiko/Nippon Precision Circuits. The QS7777 is being incorporated into seven new Sharp Mini Component Systems. The first model will be available in Far East Asia, Australia and the Mid-East in March. Other new models are scheduled for release in the US and Europe later this year. The QS7777 is an analog 3D audio processor featuring QSound Labs’ QSurround technology, which enables multi-channel audio formats to be reproduced across a range of playback systems. QSurround accepts all discrete audio channels following Dolby Digital and/or Dolby Surround Pro Logic decoding. Applications for the QS7777 include stereos, VCRs, TVs, and powered speakers.
