QMS EXPECTS PROFITS FOR FISCAL FIRST QUARTER TO GO DOWN

QMS Inc, the Mobile, Alabama former Quality Micro Systems, warns that profits for its fiscal first quarter to last Friday will be only a few hundred thousand dollars compared with $1.7m a year ago, and that per share earnings will be a few pennies against 18 cents last time: sales will be $30m or $31m, up from $22m last time, but that is well below forecasts, and the firm blames delays in getting its new Postscript printers out the door.
