QData Systems Inc, Vancouver, British Columbia has signed Trans Canada Glass Ltd to an exclusive agreement under which subsidiaries of Trans Canada will market QData portable terminals to customers who want to track movement of their shares on the Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver and Alberta stock exchanges: QData will also provide the satelite uplink from Vancouver to Toronto and Montreal, with other major cities in Canada and the US as future targets for the service; Trans Canada hopes to sell or rent 750 terminals in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver in the first year and 1,000 units in each city in the second year, but even those 5,250 units would represent less than 5% of the active market players, but will provide income of $200,000 a month to QData; profitability is reached with 300 units in a city.
