Pure Storage boosts workforce and sales by 300%

The firm also announces James Petter, EMC’s former UK managing director, as head of EMEA.


All-flash disk array vendor Pure Storage is grew its workforce and said its EMEA business 300%.

The California-based firm also announced that it has hired James Petter, EMC’s former UK managing director, as EMEA VP to lead Pure Storage.

Pure Storage said bookings EMEA business rose by more than 300% last year, as customers in the same region increased 2.5 times.

"We set and achieved extremely ambitious goals worldwide, and 2014 cemented our ambition for and commitment to accelerating growth through 2015 and beyond," said Pure Storage president David Hatfield.

"The transformative business benefits that the Pure FlashArray delivers in the enterprise are now crystal clear, and this, combined with an incredibly talented team worldwide, is at the heart of Pure Storage’s success this past year."

Pure Storage’s P3 partner programme has grew to 150, which now includes Computacenter, Dimension Data, and Kelway .

"The channel ecosystem is vital to our success and this year we have focused on building strong relationships with the best integrators and Value Added Resellers across the region," Hatfield said.
