PUMA ON THE UP AS ANOTHER VENDOR SELECTS SOFTWARE

By CBR Staff Writer

In another win for Puma Technology Inc, the company announced this week that Waterloo, Ontario-based Research in Motion (RIM) has chosen its data synchronization software, Intellisync, for use in its new pager. Earlier this week (CI No 3,501) Oracle announced that it is using Puma Technology’s software to synchronize its Mobile Sales and Marketing applications based on Oracle Lite with native Palm Pilot applications. RIM’s Intellisync-powered Interactive pager will enable users to synchronize contacts, calendars and reminder lists between itself and other PC-based personal information manager (PIM) software programs. Other vendors that have chosen the Puma platform include Qualcomm Inc, SalesLogix and Time/System.
