PUBLISHING SEES A MEETING OF THE MACS

Inevitable really. International Data Group’s Macworld and Ziff Davis Communications Inc’s MacUser and MacWeek, all based in San Francisco, are to merge. The Macworld name will be retained, with MacWeek as its weekly, and the first combined issue due in November. The magazines will be run as a joint venture between the two publishing rivals.
