PSION TIGHT-LIPPED ABOUT ITS 32-BIT PSION 5 HANDHELD

By CBR Staff Writer

Psion Plc has refused to confirm reports in the UK press at the weekend that it is about to launch Psion 5, a 32-bit hand held device. The London-based company refused to elaborate on its 32- bit products earlier in the year (CI No 3,117) but licensed Citrix Systems Inc’s Windows NT client for the devices thought to run on its new EPOC32 operating system (CI No 3,121). According to unconfirmed reports, Psion 5 will be the same size as Psion 3 and is a small organizer type product. The company would only confirm it is releasing a product of some description some time this summer.
