Both boards can be used in notebook computers with Personal Computer Memory Card International Association Type II or Type III slots and support V.Fast Class, V.32bis, V.32, V.22bis, V.22, V.21 and V.23 modem standards, and V.17, V.29 and V.27ter fax standards. As its name suggests, the V34 also supports the V.34 – nee V.Fast – standard for 28.8Kbps modem line speed. Gold Card VFC is immediately available, while Gold Card V34 is expected to be available in the UK next month.
