PROGRESS SOFTWARE IMPLEMENTS ITS PROGRESS ON CTOS AND BTOS

Progress Software Corp is doing an implementation of its Progress generator and relational database manager for Convergent Technologies’ CTOS operating system and Unisys Corp’s BTOS variant, where it is claimed to be the first application development system available: it is in beta test and will be out in the spring at $3,000 per cluster for a development copy; Progress Software is the former Data Language Corp; versions of Progress are available for the VAX/VMS, Unix, Xenix, Ultrix, and MS-DOS operating systems.
