PROGRAM CALLED BUS-MASTER EXPECTED FROM APPLE

Perhaps the most notable feature expected in Apple’s Mac II – six slots, base price $4,000, ships in the summer – is a program called Bus-Master that will oversee the internal bus and co-ordinate add-in cards so that four processors could be used for a 20 MIPS performance under the Mac-DOS upwards-compatible multi-tasking operating system.
