Control Data Corp, Minneapolis, says that net profits for 1987 will be $20m to $25m lower than originally expected because of higher than expected costs for the component replacement program for the FSD II disk drive and continuing gross profit pressures in the data storage products group. Business is also down at its training and education group where it is trimming to bring expenses more in line with revenue. CDC lost $264.5m on $3,350m in 1986.
