Data warehouser Prism Solutions Inc has won a contract in the UK to provide supermarket chain Safeway with technology for its ongoing data warehousing initiative. In the short term, Safeway will run Prism Warehouse Executive in an OS/2 environment, but in the long-term will integrate it into Safeway’s network computing strategy. Safeway has also bought Prism’s Warehouse Directory for DB2, and will integrate it with query software from Brio Technology Inc.
