Prime Computer Inc’s letter of intent on a joint venture with Wild Leitz Group of Zurich, Switzerland on geographic information systems (CI No 1,072) has now been converted into a full agreement: the new joint venture now has a name, Prime Wild GIS Inc, and Prime has also taken a minority stake in the System9 division of Wild Leitz that makes surveying and mapping instruments; the joint venture has research bases in Zurich and Toronto and will employ 100 people developing software for geographic work.
