UK enterprise customer management and software firm Prime Response Ltd is set to buy the business and assets of Admiral Plc’s Mind customer relationship management product, which will be integrated with its own Vantage offering. Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed, but as a result Prime Response will acquire the 16 staff working at Admiral on the Mind product. The London company is intending to hang on to the Mind installed customer base in Europe, which includes clients such as the Alliance & Leicester building society, Bank of Ireland and Bank of Scotland, and wonÆt take it to the US, instead concentrating on the combined product. The acquisition will enable Prime response to grow much faster than it could otherwise have done if it had stuck with organic growth, and if nothing else will add to its existing 140 staff. Prime is busy trotting down a growth path and is looking to add to its European and US offices, with the introduction of a Japanese site in the coming months. Established in 1987, 80% of Prime’s business is generated from software and the private company plans to float on the Nasdaq exchange within the next two years.
