We are delighted to welcome our new French partners and colleagues to Andersen, said Joseph F. Berardino, Andersen’s managing partner – chief executive officer. Their decision to join us comes at a time when we are aggressively investing in building our firm. Their choice illustrates the appeal of the Andersen brand and values and the attractiveness of our partnership and ‘one-firm’ approach to leading professionals with a passion for excellence and client service.

The combination of the capabilities of these well-regarded consulting firms will better enable us to bring to clients the range of solutions and the depth of knowledge and skill multinational companies demand in today’s competitive marketplace, added Aldo Cardoso, Andersen’s country managing partner for France.

A letter of agreement was signed on Thursday, following a vote of the PWMC partners to convert their ownership interest in PWMC to a partnership interest in Andersen in France. The combined activity will employ 900 consultants and generate annual fees of $US140 (150 million euros). Olivier Chatin is to be its managing partner.

Our partners are eager to participate in Andersen’s integrated international network, said Yves Jarlaud, PWMC’s managing partner. This was a deliberate choice reflecting our strong belief that this is a winning combination for our clients and our people.

The integrated teams will be part of Andersen’s Business Consulting practice, one of the fastest-growing consultancies in the world, with global fees of more than $1.6 billion. The practice is consistently listed among the top ten consulting organizations in rankings around the world.
