Confirming the $500 price cut on the 70Mb version of the Personal System/2 Model 60 (see first column, this page), an IBM flack poin-ted out to the Wall Street Journal that the cut was initially only un-til December 31, and explained the remarkably early price cut on a new product by saying that the company wanted to introduce our customers to the benefits of the machine.
