Commenting on its first half figures – see alongside – Scottish circuit board maker Prestwick Holdings Plc blamed British Telecommunications Plc’s deferring of its capital expenditure programme, which resulted in idle capacity. The company says that alternative work from other international customers has been secured to go some way to plugging the gap, and that is showing through in the first two months of the current period. The split of the UKP13.6m business was computre and related products, 74%, automtotive, 20% and telecommunications, just 6%. No one customer accounts for more than 12%, the top 10 account for 73%; exports, 17%.
