PRESIDENT REAGAN APPROVES SHIPMENT OF PDP-11s TO IRAN

President Reagan is understood to have approved the controversial shipment of PDP-11s worth $900,000 to Iran: the machines were ordered under subcontract to Brown Boveri of Switzerland, which originally wanted VAX-11/785s but scaled down its requirement, for a power distribution system for Teheran.
