Samsung’s Galaxy S Advance smartphone is available to pre-order in the UK.

The retailer Clove would be offering the smartphone at £354 starting February 27, coinciding with the start of Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona.

The Galaxy S has a 4 inch Super AMOLED screen, 1.3 MP front-facing camera, a 5MP rear-facing camera, 1 GHz dual-core processor and internal storage of 8GB.

The 9.7mm thick device will run on the Android 2.3 Gingerbread platform, rather than on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS).

This model is an advancement over Samsung’s original Galaxy S and is said to be inspired by Nexus and S2 devices.

The phone will be offered by Three and O2 networks, with other operators not having expressed their interest yet.

Expansys, another retailer, prices the smartphone at £359.
