Sounds like bad news for all the public relations firms eagerly snapping up their smaller brethren and polishing images for the stock market – and for all the veteran journalists rushing to accept their golden hellos (Et tu, Booty!): according to the grandaddy of high-tech public relations Regis McKenna, PR is dead as a concept – he’s back at the head of his firm seeking to redirect it away from the commodity side of the business and into market consulting.
