PositiveID has entered into a strategic alliance with Innovations Avocare (Avocare), to develop, implement, distribute and use PositiveID’s Health Link personal health record (Health Link) within the medical facilities, physician networks and related healthcare providers participating in the State of Florida regional health information organisations (RHIO).
Reportedly, PositiveID and Avocare are also expected to work together to advance the interoperability of Health Link with the Electronic Medical Record systems utilised in the RHIOs throughout the State of Florida, thereby integrating Health Link with medical facilities and healthcare providers serving over one million patients.
Scott Silverman, chairman and CEO of PositiveID, said: We believe that working closely with Avocare will further our goal of providing a personal health record that is interoperable with all electronic medical records systems. Avocare currently works with numerous medical facilities and RHIOs, which we believe will enable us to utilise their expertise and receive greater access to patients throughout the State of Florida.
