PORTLAND LABORATORY ANNOUNCES TEST SUITES FOR FAST ETHERNET

The Technology Research Interoperability Laboratory of Portland, Oregon, has developed Interoperability Test Suites for Fast Ethernet in conjunction with the Fast Ethernet Alliance. Initially, the lab will focus on testing the physical media-dependent and convergence sublayers and implementation of dependent Media Access Control parameters for Fast Ethernet products. Fast Ethernet Alliance members, including 3Com Corp, Intel Corp, National Semiconductor Corp, Standard Microsystems Corp and SynOptics Communications Inc are also members of Interoperability Lab, and plan to use it for the testing of their products.
