The 80%-owned Portable Cellular Communications Inc affiliate of Nationwide Cellular Service Inc, Valley Stream, New York, has won a contract to provide Hertz Corp with portable cellular telephone services at Hertz car rental counters: terns were not disclosed, but Portable Cellular will be providing in over 500 phones for use by Hertz customers in 13 major US cities; and in conjuntion with the new contract, Cellular Technical Services Co, its joint venture with Nynex Corp’s cellular unit has signed contracts with several wireline and non-wireline carriers to install and market its real-time telephone service billing system.
