It’s not inconceivable that industry top dogs can be a bit precious on occasion, stamping their feet to get their own way. Compaq Computer Corp front man Eckhard Pfeiffer demanded a new car after discovering his new four-wheel drive turbo Porsche had received a small scratch to its underside when in the care of the dealer, according to the Wall Street Journal. When the dealer told Pfeiffer there was a two year waiting list for the car, he got on the blower to the Porsche top banana and as if by magic, a new car was on its way within three days.
