For Skype, the PC speakerphone, which it will co-brand with Polycom, signifies its ongoing push into the enterprise space after having made a name for itself with consumers. eBay-owned Skype reckons business customers make up 30% of its more than 100 million registered users.

The two-way USB speakerphone, called the Polycom Communicator, promises high-fidelity wideband voice for individuals or small groups on conference calls when integrated with Skype for Business offerings, including the Skype for Business Control Panel, formerly called Skype Groups. Skype’s business products are primarily aimed at companies with fewer than 10 workers.

The device will launch within 60 days with a $129 price tag, said the companies.
