If this played anywhere else, we missed it, but it’s encouraging to see the UK police operating the odd sting of their own, and according to The Real News, Yorkshire Police got so fed up with radio hams illegally eavesdropping on their radio frequencies, and, they suspected, nefariously exploiting what they learned, that they issued a spoof broadcast about aliens landing and arrested those who turned up to see the little green men; the Operation Marconi also involved a broadcast that said bags of money had been discovered in the woods and large sums were blowing around in the wind – that drew a big ham crowd.
