PLESSEY WINS UKP15M ORDER FOR SYSTEM X FROM COLOMBIA

Plessey last night announced that it had won its much-vaunted first major – well UKP15m – overseas order for System X digital exchanges from Colombia: the contract is for 13 exchanges with a total of 68,000 lines, and the contract was won in face of stiff competition with Ericsson, NEC, Italtel and Fujitsu.
