Plessey Co Plc this week inaugurated the first phase of its UKP50m semiconductor plant in Roborough, near Plymouth, Devon, and looks to quadruple its chip sales to UKP330m a year as a result of the plant: it expects to be employing 350 people there within two years, producing components valued at UKP100m a year.
