The Plessey Co and CAP Group Plc have followed Racal and Scicon in setting up an equally-owned joint venture company to pitch for network facilities management pacts worldwide. The companies decided they liked each other after making a joint bid on the UK Government Data Network contract – worth some UKP250m over seven years. The chairman of Plessey-CAP Network Services will be CAP director Alan Benjamin.
