PLESSEY BUYS UNIT OF THE FISHER CONTROL SUBSIDIARY

Plessey Co Plc has agreed in principle to pay a reported UKP4m or so for the special defence and industrial activities group, based in Lewisham, London of the Fisher Controls Ltd subsidiary of Monsanto Corp: the plan is for the unit to be managed by Plessey Controls Ltd of Poole, Dorset, which will expand to become a UKP24m-a-year business.
