Platinum Technology Inc, specialists in acquiring products developed by others (if not the others themselves) confirmed Monday that it has added International Computer Ltd’s Access Manager single sign-on technology to its security portfolio, as we reported first (CI No 3,088). According to publicly available documents, the deal sent 2.2 million Platinum shares to ICL. Platinum will be the sole purveyor of the product which it has renamed AutoSecure Single Sign-On. Platinum insists that, as with all its acquisitions, all maintenance agreements with current users will be honored and it will fully support the product without customers having to purchase anything additional from Platinum.
