Planning Sciences Plc has appointed a number of distributors in Holland, Sweden and Denmark for its EIS-EPiC management information system and MS-DOS-based financial modelling system, Mastermodeller. The Wimbledon company was established in the early 1980s by former employees of Intelligence UK, and it has developed the commendable habit of doubling profits on a year-by-year basis. Much of this can be attributed to EIS-EPiC which is aimed at computilliterate senior executives and comes with the obligatory mouse or touch-screen that enables users to select hot-spots and access underlying data. The company says that overseas markets are an area where it can grow organically (CI No 1,309), and it is already active in Australia, the Far East, and Finland. The new distributors are IMG in Denmark, EIS Innovations of Sweden, and Profix, a subsidiary of the Volmac Software Groep NV based in Holland.
