London W1-based Planning & Research Consultancy Plc, which offers electronic, corporate and consultancy services mainly for the automotive industry has put in a solid performance. The company’s first annual results since floating on the Unlisted Securities Market in December reveal an annualised growth in turnover of 71% to UKP2.7m. When Planning & Research floated it forecast a pre-tax profit of UKP700,000, a target which it missed by UKP80,500 large-ly because its forecast database sales did not materialise before the year’s end, although they have subsequently been realised. The company has four core businesses: database services, an electronic business that provides database products; an electronic publishing company; corporate information services which provides daily updated information; and business consultancy. The company is budgeting for a turnover of UKP15m in three years’ time and future plans include the production of an international database on which its US business, based in Detroit, Michigan is currently working, and the establishment of a West German company to serve the large automotive market in that country.
