PIXAR WINS $11M SILICON GRAPHICS DEAL

Pixar Animation Studios Inc of Point Richmond, California has licensed three Pixar patents covering techniques for creating computer-generated photorealistic images to Silicon Graphics Inc. They are the same patents that Pixar licensed to Microsoft Corp in June 1995, and under the agreement, Silicon Graphics will pay Pixar a total of $11m, $6m in cash and $5m in product credits.
