Unified storage and compute appliances provider Pivot3 has introduced vSTAC Watch Enterprise, expanding its Pivot3 vSTAC Watch product line.
vSTAC Watch Enterprise is an open system appliance that runs third-party video management software and provides reliable scale-out storage for video capture and playback. It helps end users and resellers manage large surveillance systems with the help of a new set of centralised server management tools.
The new application will optimise recording server resources and initiate failover recovery across servers by allowing customers to centrally monitor the health and performance of recording servers to move recording applications.
Pivot3’s new platform automates storage management so that storage is aggregated, protected and managed logically across appliances when stacked together.
vSTAC Watch Enterprise integrates and ships with VMware vSphere and standardises on flash storage to accelerate video capture.
The scale-out flash accelerators in each Watch appliance increases the camera counts by 50%, by eliminating the disk latency.
