PITTENCRIEFF COMMUNICATIONS BUYING AGAIN

Edinburgh-based Pittencrieff Plc’s 54%-owned Pittencrieff Communications Inc in Abilene, Texas is buying again: it says it has signed a definitive sale and purchase agreement with Industrial Radio Inc, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and has separately assumed control of 85 Specialised Mobile Radio wait-listed channels, including related assets, within the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area; financial terms of the two transactions were not disclosed; Industrial Radio operates 32 channels and serves more than 2,000 subscribers in an area populated by more than 1m people, and the acquisition will give Pittencrieff 52 channels all told in Oklahoma City.
