Allocade, a developer of healthcare software services, has announced that PinnacleHealth, a non-profit healthcare system, has installed the On-Cue system on the east coast.
Allocade said that On-Cue is a software system that enables hospitals to reclaim their unused capacity by automating the manual patient flow process and rescheduling exams in real time as conditions change.
Allocade also said that PinnacleHealth installed the On-Cue software in the Connecticut (CT) department, which consists of three different control rooms separated by five floors, as well as in the emergency department.
The hospital also installed Toshiba’s Aquilion One, a dynamic volume CT system, which helps physicians to diagnose life-threatening conditions in minutes. The addition of the Aquilion One and On-Cue to the hospital is having an effect on patient flow as well as overall patient care across several departments hospital-wide.
Bill Wilkison, vice president of ambulatory care and ancillary services at PinnacleHealth, said: Inpatients, outpatients and emergency patients all need access to our imaging resources, often at the same time. On-Cue helps us to react to these situations in real time by directing the right patient to the right resource at the right time to optimize patient care.
