Pinacor Inc, the recently formed distribution arm of Tempe, Arizona-based MicroAge Inc, has restructured, combining its customer relations, supply chain management, merchandizing and logistics operations under the control of James Manton, president and chief operating officer. Pinacor’s CEO, Bob O’Malley, is left in charge of the company’s strategic elements such as customer- centric information systems, associated development and global strategy. Reports have suggested Pinacor, which was formed as a separate division from $4bn MicroAge Inc back in March, is up for sale (CI No 3,475). The company says the re-alignment will increase its focus on specific bundled products for resellers. Meanwhile, John Lewis, president of MicroAge Integration, has resigned to pursue other interests. His position will not be filled.
