Real-Time Innovations (RTI) middleware can support many applications with real-time data-distribution requirements. RTI will provide PIMCO with middleware technology and allows PIMCO to integrate and deploy solutions at comparably low cost.
Yanay Lehavi, senior vice president of technology at PIMCO, said: PIMCO will deploy the RTI technology in its proprietary pre-trade compliance system used to enforce and monitor regulatory and client-imposed investment restrictions. The RTI middleware will route messages among components of this distributed, parallel system, where thousands of calculations and data points are combined to produce answers for traders.
