Phoenix Group International Inc – the Irvine, California company that says it has agreement to supply 6m personal computers to schools in the Soviet Union, has a memorandum of understanding with DCM Data Products of New Delhi, India for the exchange of licence and marketing rights for computer technologies. DCM has an 80486-based machine and Phoenix’s Netcom research subsidiary has developed an IBM-compatible local network workstation and under the pact, Phoenix will market DCM’s products worldwide, both under the DCM name and on the OEM market, and DCM will manufacture Phoenix products under licence in support of Netcom’s markets.
