PHOENIX BIOS NOW INTEGRATED INTO INTEL MOTHERBOARDS

BIOS supplier Phoenix Technologies Ltd has said Intel Corp is now shipping motherboards with PhoenixBIOS to personal computer manufacturers. The integration of PhoenixBIOS 4.0 release 6, into the motherboards comes little over a year after the two companies announced Intel would take a 6% stake in the company (CI No 2,853) and forms part of a long term technology licensing agreement. Phoenix believes it will be able to grab a significantly dominant share of the BIOS market as a result of the deal.
