Philips Electronics NV’s Philips Media launched the portable Compact Disk-interactive 370 at Multimedia ’95 to cries of isn’t that a bit expensive? The new CD-i will cost around รบ1,250 and is aimed at the professional remote user. The player features full screen, full motion digital video, so all CD-i Digital Video titles and other Video CD titles can be played. It has a 6 screen, but can be connected to a bigger screen for presentations. An external source can be connected to the built-in liquid crystal diode display, so videos can be viewed from a video player or a modem can be attached. It also has full stereo capability.
