PHILIPS AGREES WESTERN DIGITAL BUY

Meantime Western Digital Corp and the Philips Semiconductors arm of Philips Electronics NV said they had now reached definitive agreement for Philips to buy the Irvine company’s Multimedia Products Unit, which includes Paradise graphics accelerator boards and the RocketChip family of devices. The purchase price was not disclosed.
