Professional golf tour organiser PGA TOUR has entered into a joint venture with Bedrocket, a digital media company, to launch the first internet video network for golf.
Skratch TV will showcase daily golf videos which will include original and curated programmes, special productions from events, and PGA TOUR highlights which is expected to cater to the needs of golf celebrities, pro athletes, and other golf fans.
The new platform will be operated from Bedrocket’s New York offices, and will be built on Bedrocket’s proprietary software which includes Boxxspring, a premium video channel platform enables access to tens of millions of mobile, desktop, and social video consumers.
PGA TOUR Commissioner Tim Finchem said: "As younger fans find new ways to follow their favorite sports, it’s important to deliver great golf content to platforms that they use and in a voice that resonates with them.
"We believe Skratch TV will provide a tremendous new platform to effectively speak to this audience."
