Computer accessories and careware (care what? – bear?) manufacturer and distributor PerfectData Corp of Chatsworth, California has agreed to buy San Diego-based tape and disk media manufacturer PermaByte Magnetics Inc; Polaroid Corp of Cambridge, Massachusetts, which is a major PermaByte shareholder and customer is taking a substantial minority stake in PerfectData in return for its PermaByte shares.
