Peoplesoft International Inc has signed a multi-year development and VAR agreement with Information Advantage Inc for its MyEureka! relational online analytical processing engine, which Peoplesoft says it will use as its exclusive ROLAP engine. Peoplesoft plans to integrate MyEureka! into its EPM Enterprise Performance Management suite of analytical applications, which include data warehousing, multidimensional analysis, strategic cost management, key performance measures and industry specific analytics. It chose the IA tool because of the Eden Prairie, Minnesota-based firm’s support for both Windows NT and Unix, and because of the product’s scalable architecture. IA describes MyEureka! as the first web portal for Business Intelligence to apply the same visualization, navigation, agent, delivery and search principles popularised by consumer internet portals such as Yahoo! and AOL to corporate information systems. Peoplesoft says that an integrated product will be ready by the fourth quarter of this year.
