The new platform is intended to give users real-time access to live prices on the global foreign exchange markets from their desktops, providing them with the ability to monitor prices and execute a trade instantaneously.
All major currency pairs and crosses are available for trading and cash settlement, spot or against equities. Also included in the program is an instant messaging service which offers real-time contact with Penson’s trading desk, which allows traders to manage and execute currency deals and place orders from their desktop to maximize speed and efficiency.
Canadian investment dealer Orion Securities has gone live with the system with its Professional and Arbitrage trading divisions making use of the new FX functionality, following on the introducing/broker agreement between the two companies in 2004.
